About Her

Hello! 

     My name is Nicole and I will be taking you along with me as I journey into a life of travel and adventure.  All of this is somewhat new to me.  I have always been a little shy, and up until recently I was mostly a home-body who was stuck in a rut, in the middle of the rat-race of city life.  Can anyone out there relate?  

     Last year my husband and I decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary by taking a once in a lifetime vacation to Hawaii, and that experience lit a fire inside of me that I could not put out.  Let me begin by saying that we are not the type to sit by the pool all vacation long.  We love to get out and experience all there is to take in when visiting  a location.  We found more than we could ever imagine on this trip;  kayaking serene rivers to find hidden waterfalls, soaring above the jungle canopy on zip lines, meeting the local people (some of the nicest and caring people I've ever met), snorkeling among hundreds of tropical fish, and soaking in breath-taking sunsets every night.  

     Once we returned home, I realized that I wanted more out of life.  Not just vacations, but experiences full of meaning, full of life and passion.  I wanted to connect with people from other places, learn new languages, and get lost in the beauty of the world around me.  I suddenly found myself asking, "What's stopping you?"  When I really boiled it down, my answer was "Nothing."  

     So, after several months of contemplating and toiling over the idea, I finally decided to make the jump. To go from that shy girl stuck in city life to one who could lead a life of adventure and share her experiences with all of you by bringing you along, 'in her shoes' so to speak.  Get ready for adventure, because our next one is just around the corner...
